Anyone can stroll up to a casino game and put down a bet. And anyone can easily lose their money too. If you’re going to gamble a lot and win in the long run, you’ve got to be savy and smart.

I’ll share with you some gambling tips meant to start you thinking in the right state of mind. All savy gamblers know these tips and momentarily you will too. Maby you already know some of them. But remember, knowing and practicing these gambling tips are two different things. And practicing is what counts.

Know what the house edge is.

This is the most important thing you can do to improve your success. As an astute player, you must know the house edge for the games you play. Not knowing the house edge is just plain stupid. And it’s easily found out what the house advantage is. And this goes for all the wagers within the game too. For instance, the house edge on a pass line wager in Craps is much lower than the house edge on a any other Craps wager in Craps. Learn them. Know them. Practice them.

Setup bankroll limits.

Never go into a casino or play at an online casino without setting up a bankroll for your gambling session. You should use a loss and win limit. And keep them practical. For example, you might set your bankroll at $300. This means if you lose $300, you’re finished. Try setting your win limit to 200%, so it would be $600 in this case. Not setting a bankroll, and staying with it, does in most gamblers that lose. Don’t be one of them.

Playing with the house’s money.

Every day in any Las Vegas casino you’ll hear people saying, “I’m playing with the house’s money” This is never true. This is a stupid idea that turns winners into losers. Once you win, it’s your money. You are never playing with the house’s money. People that think this rationalize it as a reason to care less about the money in their possession. This is stupid.

This type of thinking also keeps gamblers from stopping as winners. They keep playing until they are back to “even” or worse. Smart gamblers always respect the money in their possession. It’s theirs and not the property of the house. Every time you can walk away with more money than you started with you are a winner. Win and walk away!

These tips are easy to learn and memorize. But unless you practice them they won’t do you any good. And you’ll be tempted to break these rules whether you’re winning or losing. If you do it will cost you over the long run.
